The 14th Annual Youth Summer Run Camps for 6 to 16 year olds will be held during summer break at McCullough Jr Hi School. Finish Strong Coach Dana Lyons and his team of experienced coaches offer a program designed to help girls and boys improve their endurance, strength, speed and run technique. Whether your child’s goal is to get ready for cross-country, build endurance for fall sports or just get fit, this program can help.
The 9-week program begins on Monday, June 3 and runs through August 10th with one week off for the 4th of July holiday (July 1 – 5.) We will meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 to 8am at McCullough Jr High School for 10 year olds and up and 7 to 7:45am for 6 to 9 year olds. Monday and Wednesday workouts will consist of longer, easy runs with focus on form and technique. Friday workouts will be structured, high intensity sessions to prepare the boys and girls for fall races.
Runners are grouped by ability. All abilities welcome. All participants receive a t-shirt and a weekly training plan. Cost is $105.
