The 13th Annual Youth Summer Run Camps for rising 5th- 8th graders and rising 1st -4th graders. Both camps will be held once again during summer break at McCullough Junior High School. Finish Strong Coach Dana Lyons and his team of experienced coaches offer a program designed to help girls and boys improve their endurance, strength, speed and run technique. Whether your child’s goal is to get ready for cross-country, build endurance for fall sports or just get fit, this program can help.
The 9-week program begins on Monday, June 4 and runs through August 10th with one week off for the 4th of July holiday (July 2 – 6.) We will meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7 to 8am at McCullough Junior High School track for 5th – 8th graders and 7 to 7:45am for 1st -4th graders. Monday and Wednesday workouts will consist of longer, easy runs with focus on form and technique. Friday workouts will be structured, high intensity sessions to prepare the boys and girls for fall races.
Runners are grouped by ability. All abilities welcome. All participants receive a t-shirt and a weekly training plan. Sign up by May 1 and pay only $135. Cost after May 1 is $150.
