Whether you are training for Iron Star Half Ironman, Austin 70.3, USAT Long-Course Triathlon, or preparing for Ironman Texas, you will benefit from participating at our 2 1/2 day Fall Half Ironman Training Camp. You will enjoy swimming the Iron Star 1.2 mile course in Lake Conroe, biking the 56 mile bike course in scenic Montgomery County, and running the 13.1 mile course from the beautiful La Torretta Lake Resort and Spa.
This camp will accommodate all levels of athletes (18 and up), from beginner to advanced.
Camp includes:
• Swimming, biking, and running workouts led by USAT Level II Certified Coach
• Open water swim clinic and drills
• Sag support for the longer bike rides
• Learn how to train with heart rate and power
• Transition clinic
• Nutrition and hydration seminar
• Hammer Nutrition for all workouts
• Technical running shirt

Registration: The cost of the training camp is $369 on or before August 8; $399 on or before August 29; $449 after August 29. The cost of the weekend tri-camp includes lunch on Saturday and Sunday, but does not include lodging and other meals. La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa offers Tower Suite special rate of $150.00 per night for Fall Half Ironman Training Camp participants if booked by August 11, 2010. 7:00-11:30am Bike half ironman course (with sag provided)
11:30-12:00pm Swim
12:00-2:00pm Lunch (provided) and downtime
2:00-3:00pm Bike specific workouts for half ironman distance (including discussion on training with power). Review bike course/discussion/questions
3:00-4:00pm Heart rate training
4:00-5:00pm Tempo run
5:00-5:30pm Review of swim and run course/plan for next day

7:00-9:30am Run the Iron Star Half Ironman course
9:30-11:30am Open water swim clinic and swim the Iron Star course
12:00-1:30pm Lunch (provided)
1:30-3:00pm Tempo bike
3:00-4:30pm Transition clinic
4:30-5:00pm Wrap-up, question and answer
What to bring:
Swimming: Swim suit, goggles, wet suit, towels
Bicycling: bike, helmet, bike shoes, bike socks, bike shorts, jerseys, sports bras, gloves, water bottles (2 minimum), gear pouch (including spare tubes, spare tire, patch kit, tire levers, CO2 cartridges), floor pump, frame pump, cycling gloves, sunglasses
Run: Heart rate monitor and strap, running shoes, running socks, running cap, running shorts and top, gels, gel flask.
Extras: Clothes and shoes for when you are not working out, sunscreen, chamois butter, body glide, cell phone, pen/paper for notes.
