Coaching Philosophy
I understand that individuals lead busy lives, with work, family and training all competing for time in the day. I’ve successfully faced the same challenges. And as a coach, I can assist athletes of all ages, experience, skill and talent to achieve their goals and athletic dreams while maintaining a balanced life style. By applying sports science with 20 years of multisport and endurance sports experience, I can help you improve your personal fitness, complete your first competitive endurance event or achieve a new personal best.
I create individual training plans that:
- Utilize the absolute best interactive training software for endurance athletes.
- Track your races, day-to-day training, nutrition, and just plain how you feel.
- Provide consistent and frequent communication.
- Employ the least amount of training that will achieve your goals.
- Make training increasingly specific by following the periodization model.
- Focus on the athlete's limiters (weaknesses) while maintaining their strengths.
- Ensure that every workout has a purpose.
